Cheers Magazine held the awards ceremony for the 2026 University Presidents’ Mutual Evaluation of Institutional Performance on April 15. With its stable governance and forward‑looking strategic planning, Feng Chia University stood out among 110 participating universities nationwide, ranking fifth overall and once again claiming first place among comprehensive private universities. Wei Wang, President of Feng Chia University, attended the ceremony in person to receive the award.

Now in its 12th consecutive year, the University Presidents’ Mutual Evaluation is conducted through peer voting by presidents of 110 universities across Taiwan. Among the top 20 institutions this year, leading national universities continued to dominate the list. In the category of comprehensive private universities, however, Feng Chia University firmly retained the top position, with only Tunghai University, Tamkang University, Fu Jen Catholic University, and Yuan Ze University also making the rankings. The report highlighted Feng Chia University as Taiwan’s “most enduring university” over the past 12 years—never falling outside the top five and ranking within the top three for nine of those years—earning recognition as a governance benchmark in higher education.

Feng Chia University has been recognized by Cheers Magazine as Taiwan’s most enduring university, ranking within the national top five for 12 consecutive years.

This recognition from academic peers is likewise reflected in the perceptions of students and parents. The “Discover FCU” event held on April 11 attracted more than 4,000 high school students and parents. Post‑event surveys featured comments such as “The university’s dedication is impressive” and “Choosing Feng Chia is the right decision for my child,” indicating that the event not only helped students better understand academic programs at Feng Chia University but also reassured parents.

President Wei Wang noted that Feng Chia University’s investment in education has never slowed—from the opening of Virtuosi Building, a flagship interdisciplinary learning hub, to the launch earlier this year of Taiwan’s first AI Intelligent Innovation Foundry, developed in collaboration with ASUS. Looking ahead, the university will undertake a major renovation of the College of Information and Electrical Engineering Building in preparation for the planned establishment of a School of Semiconductor. This future school is envisioned as Taiwan’s only comprehensive talent‑development system covering the entire semiconductor value chain, including IC design and EDA, components and integration, manufacturing processes and packaging/testing, as well as semiconductor equipment R&D, digital twin design, and manufacturing. The goal is to cultivate industry‑ready semiconductor professionals with strong hands‑on skills, practical industry experience, and a global perspective.

From achieving a 98.71% freshman enrollment rate—ranking first among private comprehensive universities according to Ministry of Education data—to placing 10th nationwide and first among private universities in CommonWealth Magazine’s 2026 Most Favored Universities by Employers survey, and once again topping Cheers Magazine’s private university performance rankings, multiple objective indicators collectively affirm Feng Chia University’s strong institutional performance.Whether in the choices of students and parents, employer evaluations, or peer assessments in higher education, Feng Chia University continues to earn broad recognition across society.
