FIP-SPE@FCU Hosts ICAPS 2026, Bringing Together Scholars from Taiwan, Germany, Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong to Discuss Smart Semiconductor Plasma Processes

The 2026 International Conference on Advanced Plasma for Semiconductors (ICAPS 2026), organized by the Feng Chia University–Fraunhofer Innovation Platform (FIP-SPE@FCU), was held from July 8 to 9 at Xue Si Building on the Feng Chia University campus. Under the theme of “Simulation, Artificial Intelligence, and Plasma Processes in Semiconductor Manufacturing,” the conference attracted approximately 160 scholars, research institute representatives, industry experts, and young researchers from Taiwan, Germany, Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong to explore the latest research achievements and technological developments in advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
FCU College of Construction and Development Partners with National Security Industry Association to Launch Building Life-Cycle Management Program

The College of Construction and Development at Feng Chia University (FCU) and the National Association of Security Companies, R.O.C. have jointly established a partnership to cultivate professionals in building operations management. In collaboration with the Office of Industry-Academia Collaboration and Continuing Education, the two organizations will launch a new course,“Building Life-Cycle Management and Practice,” this September. In addition, a new Building Operations Management Track will be introduced within the Master’s Program of Construction Management for Working Professionals beginning in Academic Year 2027–28. The initiative aims to develop high-level professionals equipped with expertise in architecture, technology applications, and management.
Feng Chia University Hosts First AI Governance Program for Overseas Taiwanese Entrepreneurs

Commissioned by the Overseas Community Affairs Council, R.O.C. (Taiwan) and organized by Feng Chia University, the inaugural 2026 AI Governance Program for Overseas Taiwanese Entrepreneurs was held from June 1 to 5. The program attracted 24 outstanding overseas Taiwanese business owners and senior executives from 13 countries around the world. According to post-program evaluations, participants rated the five-day program as “very satisfactory” across the board, recognizing Feng Chia University's strong industry-academia capabilities, academic resources, and thoughtfully designed curriculum and activities.
Industry, Government, and Academia Join Forces to Retain Talent: NSTC's "Work in Taiwan" Job Matching Event Held at Feng Chia University

To assist international students studying in Taiwan in securing employment upon graduation, the "2026 Work in Taiwan Industry Employment Follow Me: Job Matching and Exchange Event for International Master's and Doctoral Talent" was held on May 29 at Feng Chia University. Hosted by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) and executed by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), the event drew 106 international students from multiple countries. Eleven participating companies offered 71 job openings spanning diverse sectors including semiconductors, aerospace, biotechnology, and digital services, reflecting the strong demand for international talent within Taiwan's industry.
Four FCU Student Startup Teams Advance to the First Stage of the 2026 U-start Entrepreneurship Program

The results of the first-stage review for the Ministry of Education Youth Development Administration’s 2026 U-start Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program have been announced. Demonstrating strong interdisciplinary innovation capabilities, Feng Chia University secured funding for four startup teams across the categories of Manufacturing Technology, Cultural and Creative Education, and Social Enterprise. Led by students, these projects not only showcase advanced technological integration but also address real societal needs, including elderly care, workplace safety, and educational innovation. The selected teams exemplify the commitment of FCU students to creating positive social impact through entrepreneurship.
Over 100 Teams Compete, Top 50 Advance to the Final! 2026 Feng Chia University Virtuous Innovation Competition Showcases Outstanding Innovation

The finals of the 2026 Feng Chia University Virtuosi Innovation Competition were held on May 22, reaching a new milestone in participation. This year’s competition attracted 148 teams, nearly 600 students, and more than 80 faculty advisors, showcasing the strong interdisciplinary innovation and hands-on development capabilities of Feng Chia University. Following an intense preliminary round, 50 outstanding teams advanced to the finals to present their projects, while an additional 33 teams received Potential Awards. The event earned widespread recognition from representatives of industry, government, academia, and research sectors.
